I have lived a good life,

with family, with friends, with meaning, with fun, with few regrets.

Grieve, but please not for long,

and remember me for the good times that we had.

And I would say to Valentine:

Together, we lived a good life,

you were the best friend, the best mother,

the best example we could have,

and we will remember you for the good times that we had.

As you request,

we will do as you say,

we will grieve but not for long.

We will try.

But I have to say,

that in my heart

there will always be,

that special place

for you and me.
